Gawgeous Day

It was another nice afternoon to be outside.

Hey batta batta...

Jackson is very interested in baseball so we're gearing up and practicing for t-ball that starts in a few weeks. Ellie will play too but has no interest in practicing whatsoever. I know that's shocking.

Mommy's Day @ School

Today was Mommy's Day at Jackson's school. He becomes the teacher and I become the student. He taught me several different lessons. It's amazing to watch him learn and grow!

First, here's his best bud, Townes River.

Lesson: Spanish (Rosetta Stone)
He knew almost all of them!

Lesson: Geography
He chose interesting facts about our state.

More geography that I had to take a picture of. This is a project he's working on now at school. Pretty impressive.

Lesson: Language
He read me this whole book about magnets.

Lesson: Journal
I had to write exactly what he had written from the board this morning.
They do this each day with the date and then a joke. Grandma: I'm sure you'll appreciate the joke! He did! (Click on the pic and it gets bigger).

Lesson: Zoology
I think he's most interested in this. He's an animal lover. No matter what kind they are!

I'm so proud of my boy!

Sweet Goodbyes

Ellie spent the night out at a girlfriend's houses last Saturday for the first time. She's had many sleep overs at family member's houses but never at a girlfriend's house OR most importantly...never without her big brother. While Ellie told him goodbye with care, love, reassurance and LOTS of kisses and hugs...brother wasn't so sure about leaving her. They hugged like this for at least 5 minutes while Ellie kissed Jax on the cheek every 15 seconds or so and told him it would be ok and that she'd see him in the morning. We left, he survived and Ellie had a blast (as you can see). She slept on our couch on Sunday from 12:30-5:30 in her coat and went back to bed at 8. Party girl.

My LoVeS

We've had some unseasonably warm weather in February!
So, we've spent lots of this week on the beach.
My sweet Valentines made me this sign when I came home on Valentine's Day.
These blow ups are from our engagement 8 years ago.
Heart steak for dinner!
My little gamer, Jackson!
My funny little Ellie.
Ellie and her kitty, "Noth" (short for Nothing).

I appreciate and value my family more and more every day. I'm so blessed and thankful for them, our faith, our health, our love, our happiness and our JOY.

Brad sank the Titanic!

A sandwich with 1-1/2 pounds of meat PLUS cheese, 1/2 pound of potato salad and a 20 oz drink in under 30 minutes!

DOWN THE HATCH!

With 4 minutes to spare!
Jackson was so proud!

And he got the t-shirt to prove it!
