"Where'd the birthday boy go?"

This is another funny one caught on tape! This was last May at Jackson's 6th birthday party. Another funniest home videos moment.

This train is bound for Glory...woo wee!

Now that I've figured out how to post videos, I'm adding a few for my mother's sake, who still refrains from joining Facebook. This video is CLASSIC and will go down in the history of one of the funniest videos I've taken or watched. See if you can tell why...

Ok, if you didn't figure it out, we rode by a dead animal mid-song with the windows WIDE OPEN! Apparently, it took quite some time to reach from Kiara (little girl in the middle) to Jackson in the back. Turn the volume up so you can hear the chatter.

My Prima

Here is Ellie's dance recital routine for this year. They are practicing each week and get better and better. Her partner wasn't there on Friday so she practiced with Ms. Victoria (which I think was very helpful in her staying focused!) Notice at around the 2 minute mark when I think she realizes how excited she is about the dance. She yells Mommy and then sort of gets all overwhelmed with excitement. She can't wait to perform it on the "big black stage" (that's what she calls the high school stage).

Livin' the dream

Jackson mentioned to me a week before the OBX St. Patty's Day parade that he REEEAAALLLYY wanted to be in a parade and throw candy. SO, I randomly ran into a lady who was looking for kids to walk with their "float." I quickly volunteered, spent a small fortune in candy and got us signed up.

Lil' Sis helped too. She rode in her chariot mostly and threw gobs of candy out into the middle of the street to be trampled by the parade. She loved the sampling part too!

We're ready...
He learned that we had to wait patiently (for 2 HOURS!) to begin.

And he's off...

We walked with Kitty Hawk Kites and represented the Soaring Program. I'm still not clear on what it is exactly but it's a good program for middle schoolers. It was entertaining to see the sidelined crowds have to duck so the hang glider didn't decapitate them. It hit several people who weren't paying attention.
There were many HAPPY kids at the beginning of the parade. They got LOTS of candy thrown to them. We ran out about 1/2 way through.
Most importantly, my sweet boy got to live his dream!
We were 4th in line so we were able to stop at the end and watch it.
So fun!

Burrreezy Beautiful Beach Day

Other than Costa Rica, our favorite place on earth (that we've been to) is right here at home on Coquina Beach...especially in the off-season. We spend every weekend here in the summer and as many days as possible in the Fall and Spring.

SUP?

We went to Brad's cousin's wedding in St. Pete, FL last weekend and decided to finally try SUP! (Stand Up Paddling for those of you who don't know)
The board is HUGE!
Two times and Brad was a pro.

I started out on my knees...
And did it without falling! I loved it! We plan to continue doing it here on the OBX. Although it won't be quite so flat!

Post 101

This is Jackson's attempt at looking AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER to give me a picture. GLUED!

And he finally gave in...
This is our sweet little girl's new look for most pictures...
And she finally gave in as well...

I waited for a while to make another post because I was at exactly 100 posts and thought it looked cool. Ha ha.
